[2025-jun-17] The SlackDocs mailing lists at https://lists.alienbase.nl/mailman/listinfo have been retired. No one has been using these lists for years and it's time to say goodbye. The list archives remain available at https://scalzi.slackware.nl/mailman/listinfo/slackdocs

[2025-jun-17] The SlackDocs Wiki has moved to a new server, in order to make it more performant.

Welcome to the Slackware Documentation Project

Getting Involved

Getting involved in Slackware is quite easy. You can create Slackbuilds and submit them to SlackBuilds.org, participate in IRC, or on forums here at LinuxQuestions.org

Some of the other ways in which new users can get involved with Slackware are:

  • Helping out other Linux users whenever possible. The officially recognized Slackware support forum can be found at LinuxQuestions.org.
  • Helping out with this documentation by:
    • Suggesting new topics and subjects.
    • Creating content, preferably original content.
    • Expanding or improving existing topics.
    • Proofreading, correcting spelling and grammar.
