[2024-feb-29] Sad news: Eric Layton aka Nocturnal Slacker aka vtel57 passed away on Feb 26th, shortly after hospitalization. He was one of our Wiki's most prominent admins. He will be missed.

 +There was not really much of an option here in terms of updating the article. Most information was severely outdated for Slackware 15, but I tried to keep the original structure and as much content intact as possible. In practice, that was mostly the parts about cpufrequtils and /sys, but this section can be reworked into good information of how to use these tools and how to go about adjusting things with /sys. Probably, other specific "list" type information can be added at the end of the article, and I might do that myself. Particularly a lists of relevant Kernel parameters. I added some notes in some of the sections of this article too.
